Profile:
Phiwe is a Core Shop Production Engineer in Atlantis Foundries that also lectures for the Western Cape Institute of Foundrymen (WCIF) within the same company. She studied at UJ where she obtained a qualification as a Physical Metallurgist. She then moved to Cape Town as a student at Atlantis Foundries and later became a Juniour Engineer and also got involved with the WCIF. She there-after got promoted to being the Core Shop Engineer. Here she gets involved in daily problem solving, process improvement projects and on the job training of learners and production employees. She is currently studying Business Admistration at Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) and was recently chosen to be involved in an exchange programme at Fontys- a Business school in the Netherlands- to continue her studies there for 3 months. Her belief and motivation in life is that nothing is impossible for anyone who puts their trust in God in the name of Jesus.
