Management of the construction site from first soil turned through to Commercial Handover and Project Close-Out . Starting with 4 staff and a civils contractor, the team grew to approximately 50 personnel with over 1400 contractors covering 5 main contracts with a total site budget of over R1 billion. After completion of the OCGT project, the extension project, GAS 1, with a budget of close to R2 billion rand was started. This project was finished 3 months ahead of schedule and within budget when South Africa was experiencing an electricity cricis. Responsibilities included management of’ amongst others, a team of Contracts Managers and a safety team to ensure timeous and safe commercial operation within budget and time.
